Remember the other day, when I fessed up to being the foolish looking mama singing old, crappy music at the top of her lungs whilst driving a minivan?
Well, friends, it's gotten worse.
Each day one of our local radio stations plays an "Old School Lunch" from 12:00-12:30, conveniently during my ride home from work. And every day, the music gets more and more awesome.
And when I say awesome, I mean laughably so. As in, those amazing one hit wonders from the 80's and 90's that you just can't get enough of. Okay, well, that I can't get enough of.
On Wednesday, I was thrilled to hear *NSync's first radio hit, "Tearin' Up My Heart." Tuesday I heard "Bust a Move." Who doesn't love Young MC?? And yesterday, I was only slightly ashamed of myself when I sang along with "Baby Got Back." (The nugget doesn't understand words yet, so I feel as though it's alright for him to hear songs about a man who wants to have sex with all of the big-bootied women.)
Seriously, this is the most awesome thing to happen to radio since...ummm...errr...since the last cool thing that happened to radio! (I've got nothin'.)
So yes, if you happen to pass a crazy gingery minivan mama any weekday around lunch, just hope that my windows are rolled up. 'Cause I'm singin' along to the old school. Word.
